          The night started off great, as my date and I were greeted at the door by a pleasant host who quickly seated us.  The atmosphere is Tex-Mex, but the menu is more American.  Our waitress was a little less than knowledgeable about the specifics regarding some of the items on the menu, but was willing to find the answers to our questions. We were given complimentary bread to start with, which was warm, right out of the oven.

          I ordered the 16 oz. Prime Rib at an affordable $16.99, which was absolutely delicious and worth every penny.  My companion ordered what we were told was a New York strip, but was actually a top-sirloin.  The steak was badly cooked, and had to be sent back twice.  The situation was remedied as the cook came to our table and informed us that the steak dinner was going to be taken off the bill, and asked if there was anything else she wanted, free of charge.  

          The Sandwich Taverna is located between Route 130 and Cotuit Rd. in the Trade Winds Plaza.
