Review:

If you are an ice cream fan, you can't miss Four Seas.  When you first arrive at the old fashioned white store and are greeted by a neon blue and red sign, you might begin to doubt the quality of the establishment.  Nevertheless, this ice cream shop, located near the renowned Craigville Beach offers an authentic Cape Cod experience.  Founded in 1934, Four Seas is the oldest ice cream store on the Cape.  It offers a wide array of flavors and all of the ice cream is homemade.  Chocolate chip, which Four Seas claims to have originally created, is one of my personal favorites.  The variety of different sized chips in their chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip (pink colored), and mocha chip provides each of the flavors with a unique taste and texture.  If you're looking for a little something more than ice cream, Four Seas has a sandwich menu and a quaint seating area.  The walls are a collage of the numerous awards Four Seas has received and pictures of the staff dating to more than fifty years.  Nonetheless, on a hot summer day, you will find most of the customers- of all ages- enjoying their cool treat outside or at Craigville beach, a short walk or drive away.  My personal recommendation: purchase a pint; it costs about the same price as a small or medium cone but it's a much better value!  Who can say no to more ice cream?
