Review:
The Beachcomber restaurant is located at the end of Cahoon
Hollow Road off Route 6 in Wellfleet, but more importantly, it
is situated atop the cliffs at Cahoon Hollow Beach. The parking
lot doubles as a parking lot for the beach, the restaurant's
surrounding property consists of sand and dunes, and surfers and
beachgoers frequent the restaurant; as one can imagine, the
atmosphere at the Beachcomber is very casual. The ambiance is
laid-back and very Cape Cod and beach oriented, with mostly
wood-plank floors and walls, and a large canopied outdoor dining
area. Shirt and shoes are required, but bathing suits and
beachwear are the norm. The menu is not extensive, but it
features Cape Cod specialties and a host of American favorites,
all delicious and not too over-priced considering the location.
The restaurant also features a bar inside and an outdoor raw
bar.
At night, the restaurant transforms into what is one of Cape
Cod's most famous
clubs, with live entertainment most nights between May and
September. All shows are strictly 21 plus. If you go, hit the
beach, watch the sunset, or enjoy a show, because the
Beachcomber is the place to be.
