Nauset Light Beach

            Nauset Light Beach is one of my favorites on the National Seashore. It offers an ideal location, ample parking, and a pristine shoreline with a wide, sandy beach. It is located at the site of the famous Nauset Lighthouse, at the end of Cable Road in Eastham. Parking is fifteen dollars during the day in-season, and out of season this is the perfect beach if Coast Guard (with very limited parking) is full. Nauset Light has also become one of my favorite surfing beaches, with a very short walk to the breaks and usually very clean, if not large, waves. Outdoor rinse showers are a nice touch, and bathrooms and changing rooms are also provided, though not necessarily always clean. Overall an excellent beach.
