East Sandwich Beach

Probably the best beach that's actually located in Sandwich- less rocky than Town Neck and rarely crowded (very few tourists). Even on the hottest days of August, I've never been turned away, and the parking spaces are limited (approx. 20 spots). The only downside to East Sandwich is the lack of restroom facilities (there are 2 Bouse houses located beside the parking lot). The beach itself is spacious and very picturesque; it's bordered by dunes all the way down, and there are very small waves, if any. A nice spot to have bonfires at night, although since it's a public beach all fires must be out by 10 without a permit. Overall, E. Sandwich Beach is your best bet on a hot summer day- comparable to Sandy Neck, only without the crowds (or snack bar).
